Brand assets

The mark is a measuring glass: the Paper Mono a, filled with coffee to the top of its bowl and read off a scale. The steam is type too: the accents of ã, ä and å.

Every letter of the wordmark is a glass filled to the same line. In the site header, as you scroll, every glass but the first a drains and closes; the a grows into the mark and starts to steam. Scroll back and the glasses are poured again.

Pour and steam

The glass is our loading system. Pouring: the level climbs and the scale reads the percentage. Steaming: once it is full, ã, ä and å rise from the a one at a time while work is being made. One indicator per view.

Use it well

Coffee is ink, the crema line is amber, the empty glass is pale. The level sits on the top of the a's bowl.
Draw the a and the steam from Paper Mono only; the files here are already outlined.
Below 48px drop the scale and steam and use the icon.
The mark moves three ways: collapsing in the header, pouring as progress, steaming while work is made. Nothing else.
Leave the width of the scale as clear space on every side.

About the mug

Pixel Steam, the diner mug, was our first mark. It has retired from logo duty. The idea stayed: coffee and steam, now drawn in Paper Mono.
